design digital products end to end, and build the systems that keep them consistent as they grow.

I start with the whole picture: the people using the product, the constraints behind it, and the goals of the business. I like to get clear on the problem before jumping into solutions, explore and test ideas early, and stay involved through build and beyond. The process is rarely linear, but each pass should leave the work better defined than the last.

Research

Understanding the problem from both sides: how people actually use the product, and how the system behind it works. Interviews and usability testing, but also analytics, audits, and time spent with the existing patterns and code.

Define

Aligning the team on goals, constraints, and what success looks like before anyone opens Figma. The problem gets sharper here, or it stays fuzzy through the whole project.

Explore

Using flows, wireframes, and prototypes to pressure-test approaches and surface trade-offs early, while changing direction is still cheap.

Test

Putting work in front of real users so usability problems get caught before they become engineering tickets.

Iterate & Deliver

Staying close to engineering through build so the shipped product matches the intent, then watching feedback and data after launch to see what to fix or extend next.

I’ve always been curious about making things and figuring out how they work. Childhood doodles eventually became a 12-year career in design, with photography and New York Fashion Week making appearances along the way. One medium has a way of leading me to another. I’ve taught myself CAD to fix things around the house, moved into 3D jewelry design in Blender, then learned silversmithing to bring those ideas into the real world. For me, the fun is usually in figuring out what comes next.

When I need to touch grass, I go looking for a little more adrenaline. Mountains, cliffs, winding back roads, anything that gets me out from behind a screen and my heart rate up. I fully restored a Honda XR650R for exactly this purpose. I also tend to bring a camera, because apparently adding several pounds of gear to a hike is my idea of traveling light.
